Ms. Dahl is a third year Doctoral student (PhD) in the Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Department. For her dissertation study she is using a mobile website developed by and sponsored through the TecHealth summer sponsorship program, along with an already existing commercially-available mobile app, to motivate first-time overweight and obese pregnant women to gain a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy. The intervention, Healthy Motivations for Moms-to-be (Healthy MoM2B), will include group-based health behavior challenges for a healthy pregnancy, informational podcasts, and a weight-tracking component.
