Alicia A. Dahl, MS

Doctoral Student

Ms. Dahl is a third year Doctoral student (PhD) in the Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Department. For her dissertation study she is using a mobile website developed by and sponsored through the TecHealth summer sponsorship program, along with an already existing commercially-available mobile app, to motivate first-time overweight and obese pregnant women to gain a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy.  The intervention, Healthy Motivations for Moms-to-be (Healthy MoM2B), will include group-based health behavior challenges for a healthy pregnancy, informational podcasts, and a weight-tracking component.

Melissa Stansbury, MS, ACSM EP-C

Doctoral Student

Ms. Stansbury, a first year student in Health Aspects of Physical Activity, is exploring the interactions between physical, nutritional, and psychological components of wellness on weight management. She is particularly interested in the long-term effects of implementing behavior modification strategies and utilizing technology for healthy lifestyle change.

Masters of Health Information Technology Student

Mr. Stritzinger is an experienced serial entrepreneur, electrical engineer, and expert software developer/database architect.  He is an avid amateur athlete and is inspired by the world of digital health technologies and their ability to improve global health.
